That is why I do not watch the evening news, also why every night they advertise "Entertainment Tonite" and I say to my wife, remind me not to watch it. Mainstream news on NBC, CBS, ABC, Fox, MSNBC etc. is terminally ill.

Old people watch more TV than younger people. When the younger people become older people, they'll watch more TV than the younger people too. :wha:

Linear thinking.

What was true for my parents is not true for me, and what is true for me will not be true for my children. Older people did not grow up with the options available to their children.

Short term, while it may be that older people will continue to watch more TV then their children, the cumulative time watching the boob tube will continue to decline.
