We can only hope but there's been too many possible reports like this to be overly optimistic.

Regarding how long it's taken/taking, once he got out of Afghanistan when we first went in it was damn near impossible to get him without killing hundreds, or thousands, of "innocents" and you know we aren't allowed to do that.

The fact that he hasn't been confirmed to be seen on video since 2004, though not remotely definitive, gives reason for optimism.

He hasn't been in video in some years, but I thought he had an audio tape out about year, year and a half ago. Personally, I think it's likely he's taken a dirt nap, or is darn close.
