New Hampshire Couple Standoff with Feds over No Income Tax

Been following this story for a while, a couple is barricade in their house in NH over failure to pay income tax.. now sentenced to 63 months in prison for their non-payment.. apparently they are doing on their religious convictions. The good thing right now is that they are not planning an Ruby Ridge or Waco, thank goodness..

All men and women are created with equal rights. These rights are such that we all may exercise them simultaneously without interfering with or infringing upon the rights of another. This is freedom.

Government -- ALL government -- has intentionally become destructive to our freedom and liberty. Instead of securing and protecting the natural rights of man, as government is designed to do, in every nation of this world it has sought to usurp its people and to reduce them under complete despotism. The evidence of this is staggering, and is completely visible in every aspect of our lives. Now is the time to change it.

--WE ARE NOT SUBJECT TO ANY GOVERNMENT TO WHICH WE DO NOT CONSENT
--WE ARE NOT BORN INTO ANY CONTRACT WITH ANY GOVERNMENT. GEOGRAPHY OF BIRTH DOES NOT PLACE US UNDER JURISDICTION.
--WE NEED NOT COMPLY WITH ANY DEMAND OR REQUEST THAT WOULD CAUSE US TO INFRINGE UPON THE RIGHTS OF ANOTHER OR FORFEIT THE FREE EXERCISE OF OUR OWN RIGHTS

CONCORD, N.H. --A federal judge sentenced a pair of convicted tax evaders in absentia Tuesday, but officials said they have no plans to lay siege to their hilltop compound to send them to prison.

Ed and Elaine Brown skipped the court appearances in favor of remaining holed up in their fortress-like Plainfield home. The Browns say federal tax laws don't exist, and Ed Brown vows to use force to avoid capture.

But U.S. marshals, charged with seizing the former exterminator and his dentist wife, say they're not planning to attack the rural site.

"We're not going to engage in that kind of game with them," U.S. Marshal Stephen Monier said in an interview. "Law enforcement is not going away and neither are the warrants."

I'm sure you're not losing any sleep over this. After all, with a now all-Democrat party in NH in both the legislature and the governorship -- plus the nation's first openly homosexual bishop of the Episcopal Church -- homosexuals can now get "legal" recognition for their "unions", so there will probably be more people moving in to go on the tax rolls there. You'll get your dough.

Nitwits.

Why don't they just make up 1000 bogus deductions like everyone else?

Taxes are way to high in this country. At some point we're going to implode. God bless George W Bush for making federal bankruptcy a possibility in my lifetime! We were on our way, he simply sped up the process by a generation or two. :D

On an individual basis, or even collectively, which of these statements are not true for a free society?

In order to keep all those rights and freedoms you mention we will have to FIGHT the Religious Muslim Terrorist for many years to come, this enemy cannot be negotiated with, they have no honor, they have no rules, if we surrender as the democrats now want us to do, the Rights and Freedoms you mention will be in grave danger.

Do the Bush Hating Liberal Democrats among you really believe that if we surrender, lay down our weapons and start concentrating on how much toilet paper we should use that the Muslims will "Lay Down Their Bombs" :singing:

What the F are you talking about, I post an article about a couple in NH who are holed up after protesting taxes.. and you go into a rant and rave about godlessness and liberalism, NH did not go after him the feds did... you are out of your f...ing mind. I don't live in NH, my concern is that they do not pull a Ruby Ridge or a Waco on this guy. I give him credit for following his convictions.

They won't pull a Waco on him, Reno & Billy Blue Dress aren't calling the shots.

All they have to do is lay around outside and wait, when they get hungry enough they will come out.

Why don't they move to China or Cuba, who the f-ck do they expect to take care of them, me & you

I would never put any bogus deductions on my return.

On a completely unrelated note, does anyone here work for a charity that can provide me a receipt saying I donated $50,000 sometime in fiscal year 2005...? Thanks in advance. :D
