Troy Brown, Cornerback?

Troy's obviously behind Welker and, given the talent at WR, he would appear to be a "nice-to-have" this year as a 5th WR at best (barring injuries to others).

Could he make the team this year as CB in the nickel and dime packages, and playing a backup role at WR and PR?

It would be nice to see him take a victory lap this year.

let's not disrespect Troy. I'm not going to ask him to play CB on a team that he has excelled as a WR. Troy deserves to retire with diginity as a WR on a team that he has given his all to.

If that's his preference, then of course!

However, Troy has repeatedly described himself as "just a ballplayer" -- would he want to be back for one more year, and on what terms? Is there a fit for him anywhere on the team? It might be a long shot, for sure...I'm just curious to see how the Troy situation plays out.

Troy Brown plays FOOTBALL...he couldn't care less what position he plays.

I would love to see him on the team next year....as a player/coach.

Stick a fork in him, he's done.

It's time to face the music guys. Brown's career is 95% likely done.

Sad, but true.

It's time to open the '80's Restaurant' and 'No Huddle Oil Change' and 'Third Down Troy Brown Equestrian Emporium'

I predict Troy will chill with his family, and see how his body feels with more off-season rest.

Then, as the season progresses and the injuries hit, he and BB will talk about the possibility of him suiting up again.

Hey, those are pretty good!

'Troy Brown and his Band of Renown' night spot (Chris Berman credit there). 'Downtown Troy Brown' (borrowing from Fred Brown).
