Don't expect an answer on Stallworth today

It sounds like they're going to milk this process for what it's worth, especially if they fly out to San Fran. I don't like the fact he spent two nights with Dolphins reps either.

STALLWORTH A TARGET

The move that might finally bring much-needed improvement to the offense could come if Miami, as expected, offers a contract to free agent receiver Donte' Stallworth.

Stallworth has spent the past two evenings with Dolphins brass, and agent Drew Rosenhaus said he expects a contract offer from the Dolphins to be forthcoming.

The Eagles, Titans and Patriots have offers on the table, according to Rosenhaus, and Stallworth is interested in making a decision after his visit with Miami.

Stallworth, who owns a house locally, would like to play for the Dolphins, and the Dolphins would like to have him at the right price.

Despite this, Rosenhaus wasn't promising a home-field advantage for the Dolphins, suggesting the San Francisco 49ers might also join the field of teams bidding for his client.

I wouldn't believe a word that comes out of Rosenhaus's mouth. Remember this is the guy who started his own rumor to get McGahee drafted in the first round...a pick I bet the Bills would like to have back. Not that he's a bad runner, but he wasn't a value since he missed essentially his rookie year, and left the team in a contract dispute. Though getting TWO third rounders wasn't a horrid deal.

Knowing Rosenhaus clients if Stallworth has a reasonably good year he will ask for a new contract.

This makes you appreciate a guy like Adalius Thomas even more when you read stuff like this. Stallworth is a media circus while Thomas just wanted to come in and get a fair deal and play football.

I can wait - I don't really want this guy at the current market rates.

It the Patriots have an 'offer on the table" they should pull it. This guy is acting like a whore.

He will sign in Miami. If he wanted to be part of a winning team with a hall of fame QB, he would have already signed here in New England. It appears he wants the money and doesn't care who throws him the ball.

What a joke:

Supposedly the Patriots were his second choice.
This guy and his agent are full of it.

Pull the offer- Red flags on this guy are all over the place

Exactly, and as has been stated, one only needs to look at the agent behind this "circus" to understand what's really going on. First, it was a Philly preference and if that couldn't be worked out, New England was Stallworth's next choice. Right now with Stallworth and Rosenhaus, it's love the team you're with until they show you the money.

I don't really blame him for finding a team this way. Stallworth's objective is to find the best deal regardless of the team. I was hoping he'd be dissatisfied with what he's seen so far, and sign with the Pats for one season to pump up his value. The longer this goes on, the less likely that will happen.
