Detroit shopping around #2 pick for two other picks in 1st round?...hmmm

Read on the net yesterday how Detroit who is so lean in so many areas may be willing to give up the 2nd pick in the draft for 2 decent early picks...That may mean we could be in a position there...Although 24 and 28 are a bit low,Detroit has been known to make worse decisions (Keeping matt Millen for example) - Maybe we can offer 2 for 1 in the first, maybe even add a 6th rounder and then get the 2nd pick....Unlikely but there is hope.

Of course that would leave Calvin Johnson probably still there after the Raiders likely pick @ #1 Jamarcus Russell....hmmm the possibilities.

The Lions would be even dummer than I though if they acceped that deal.

Seeing as how they have not made the playoffs since Lincoln was President seems to say they are not a very smart team,Especially when it comes to the draft....Barry Sanders will always be the exception of course.

I don't see anyone can justify the 24 and 28 for the 2 straight up, even the Lions. If they ever made that trade they should be kicked out the NFL. lol

try a 5th and 10th round pick. No way in heck they will take the 24th and 28th pics for the 2nd.

Maybe if we promise Millen he can draft wide receivers with those two picks he'll do it. Otherwise, I don't see it happening.

I love threads like these. :D

Let's say somehow we get the #2. Do we stay put? I don't think so. We trade again, this time down, to the Falcons for their #10, 1st next year and a 4th this year. We then take Landry at #10 and they draft Calvin Johnson at #2. Perfect.

Now way the Pats make that deal. A #2 pick isn't worth that type of money. And BB knows it. Kraft knows it. Pioli knows it.
