"The Pats Are Cheap" Taking a Big Hit Tonight

First off they geve big bucks to Richard Seymour (more dollars up front) and The Impregnator, Tom Brady, but with this rumored blockbuster deal to Adalius Thomas, the national media is going to have to reture their old cheap Pats monicker. Ah the shame!

yep. Colvin bought us a little leeway a couple years back. This'll help, too. It would be nice if the NFL and the mediots out there would acknowledge that the reason the Patriots are able to make this kind of splash is that they DON'T overpay guys like Deion Branch and Ty Law and Willie McGinest - that that kind of fiscal responsibility sowed the seeds for this deal. But they won't.

while the Pats shouldn't be considered cheap, let's not try to put them in the category of the Yankees. That football distinction belongs to Washington.

you do make a good point though.
