The Chargers will extend the first- and third-round tender to Michael Turner
Chargers to grant Turner highest possible tender
http://www.signonsandiego.com/sports...8chargers.html I don't think the Jets will pay that price but time will tell. |
Re: The Chargers will extend the first- and third-round tender to restricted free age
Why would they do that? Idiots. They are going to end up in the same boat as the Jets were with Jordan and get nothing in return when he hits FA.
Why not tender him a 1st? Someone would possibly pay that and you'd get a solid ROI on your draft pick. |

Turner is pretty good, but he's sure as hell not worth a 1 & 3.
I suspect the Chargers will pick up LT's new backup in the draft this year because Turner will be gone next year. |

I dont know if language was put in place, but I seem to remember the league strongly advising against this type of behavior. |
Re: The Chargers will extend the first- and third-round tender to Michael Turner
This has been predicted since day one, why is anyone surprised by this? Obviously no ones going to give a 1st and 3rd for him, SD keeps his rights so they can trade him for the best offer. If they can't move him then they get a first rate backup for another year for not a terrible amount of money. This is a no brainer.
