ESPNews reports that the Ravens have waived Jamal Lewis

The move was expected because of Lewis' roster bonus, and only means that the two sides weren't able to come to an agreement on a restructured contract. Lewis was also cut last year and returned to Baltimore after testing free agency. The same scenario could happen again, but the Ravens should look to upgrade before settling again on Lewis, who is a part-timer at best at this point.

I'm sure he will not be out there very long.

Maybe a good fit here...likely a split time RB and he is a decent sized back,I would give it a shot.

Jailbird.
Patriots don't do those.

We will pass on him with his track record

I'd be happy to see him here, but I suspect he'll have a lot of suitors.

We don't have any orange jumpsuits.

I don't care about his rap. It was a weird one. Not like a Bungle. He is young and would be a good compliment to Maroney. It all depends on what they do with Dillon and what Lewis would sign for.

I don't know if I would go too overboard about his criminal record. Lewis basically put his friend in touch with a drug dealer. That was his crime. Yes, it is illegal and wrong. It happened in college and he hasn't been in trouble since. But is no worse than Corey Dillon did in high school.

I am not high on taking bad characters in general and am not sure I would want Lewis, but what he did is no worse than what many of the other players people want us to get has done.

Bad seed and, even though he is still relatively young, he appeared to be washed up last year. Only guy I saw running slower was our own Corey Dillon.

Other than one very good year, has he done anything?
