Where Does Most Of Your Creative Thoughts Come From?

It seems whenever I drive on the road, my mind switches into the creative mode.

My best ideas usually are derived from driving (mostly the longer trips). I have no idea why.

I plan on buying one of those hand held recorders so I don't have any possible accidents ;-)

Where do you get your best ideas from?

I like to take long showers. It forces me to slow down. And the white noise from the water zens me.

When I'm running, in the shower, or on the john. I do my best writing when I'm on a long run, and have even carried a dictaphone with me. The only problem is that it gets sweaty and corrodes the batteries pretty easily.

And I also keep a pad of paper and pen in my bathroom.

I tend to have most of my creative moments when I'm travelling - usually either driving or sitting on the train.

But if I want to think something through I either go for a long walk or play golf. (It helps the golf too, as it takes my mind off whatever problems/mistakes I have there)
