Which Republican candidate do you trust most?
 

Romney's flip flops have been all over the MA media lately, but McCain is doing the same thing. I suppose the most honest of them is Giulani (but even he flip flopped on partial-birth abortion). Nonetheless, given his relative honesty, I wonder if we'll see a Clinton-Giuliani race? Or is flip flopping no longer an issue for Republicans?

McCain used to dismiss Jerry Falwell as an "agent of intolerance," but tomorrow he will trek to a Florida religious convention to woo the guy.

McCain, until recently, was pushing for a reform law that would require conservative groups to reveal their financial donors. But, after fielding protests from evangelical Christians and antiabortion activists, McCain decided last month to strip out the provision.

McCain in 2000 assailed Bush's proposed tax cuts as a sop to the rich, and a year later, with Bush in office, he voted against those cuts, declaring that "the benefits go to the most fortunate among us, at the expense of middle-class Americans." But a year ago, he switched sides and voted to extend tax cuts for the wealthy.

McCain in 1999 said that, "even in the long term," he would not support the repeal of Roe v. Wade because "thousands of young American women would be performing illegal and dangerous operations." But last November he said that he now favored repeal because "I don't believe the Supreme Court should be legislating in the way that they did on Roe v. Wade."

McCain, who has long deplored negative politics, defended John Kerry in 2004 when the Democratic candidate's war record was being impugned by the Swift Boaters. But today, one of McCain's top advisers is GOP hardball specialist Terry Nelson, who has worked as a consultant with one of the principal Swift Boaters. Nelson also produced the notorious `06 TV ad that implied, in the Tennessee Senate race, that the black Democratic candidate cavorted with white women.

McCain in 2006 suggested that creationism was not a fit topic for the schoolroom: "I respect those who think the world was created in seven days. Should it be taught as a science class? Probably not." But he suggested the opposite in 2005 ("all points of view should be presented"), and next Friday he is scheduled to be the keynote speaker at a confab sponsored by the Discovery Institute, a prominent creationism advocacy group.

I trust McCain, but his latest actions have kinda made him look like a typical guy trying to mold himself into something he's not, in order to win a nomination/presidency. I don't like that. Romney=carpet bagger fraud. I like some of his idea's, but do not like him. Giuliani is probably the best of the trio. Might be the straightest shooter anyway.

If I had to handicap the three, I'd say Giuliani has the best shot at the nomination. Romney shouldn't be forgotten. I think he'll do better than most think, but won't do good enough. Too fony. McCain might be an also ran.

doesn't sound like there's much confidence in any of them from the contingent here... it's a shame the lesser Bush brother got into the White House first... he's ruined it for everybody...

I don't agree with Rudi on too much, but he does seem the most trustworthy. McCain is starting to sound like Bush.

McCain sold out the GOP so many times, he could beat Bill CLinton in Arkansas

The funniest thing I've ever seen was Newt interviewed by Ali G (the same guy who does Borat). He was making Newt spell his name, and asking him why people on welfare don't get raises after being on welfare for a while, like with other jobs.

I trust Rudy the most. I'm a Dem, but I like him because he seems the most comfortable in his own skin. It takes a lot of courage to run as a pro-choice, pro-civil union Republican in this day and age.

Please tell me, what was the outcome of the New York Times/CNN (both left wing nut job outfits) recount of Florida?

Bush won!

If you want to alledge voter fraud, maybe you shouldn't use someone named "Daley" to be your spokesman.

The DNC is involved in more voter fraud every year. They even get convicted of it!

Why was it that when the Democrats won the last election, suddenly their were no voting "irregularities" suddenly all those inherit problems with those Diebolt machines went away.
