UK confirmed as NFL regualr season venue
The NFL has this morning confirmed that a regular season game next year will definitely be staged in London, as per this story on Sky Sports.
I suspect the identity of the player in the photo there (ronnie brown of the 'fins) and his team is not even close to being a coincidence. I know a lot of you hate the idea of these games being played overseas, and were I in your shoes I would agree) but for us over here and the rest of Europe this is really exciting. And irrespective of it not being a Pats game, I intend to be there in full blue and silver regalia. |

My guess is they wil go relatively early. While it doesn't get especially cold hear in October, you'd have to think it would be a night game (to suit domestic audience back in the US) and the concept of sitting around in the cold for three/four hours is not the ideal mass market appeal the league will be looking for. (These are not ice-storm-hardened New Englanders) So my guess would be a game in late September or early October. (weeks three to six) |
