Apparently it doesn't mean all that much; it just means that, if Shelton wants to, he can try to latch on to another team.

[They did the same thing with Bubba a while ago, but he expects to be in TC with the Pats next summer.]

I am surprised Reiss or someone local did not catch it...NOT all that surprised..obviously no plans for him at all..THAT simple..from what I saw of him he was a long shot...
