I am not expecting a lot from Jackson. He is definitely a rookie bust. That does not mean he will not improve. It just means don't expect a lot from him for the rest of this year. Play action inside the red zone and not try to ram the ball in on consecutive 1st and 2nd downs.....

The Pats have the best red zone offense in the league.


Hobbs NOT in the starting lineup at corner. They will try to match Chambers on Hobbs and Chambers will eat him up.

Hobbs is at Least the 2nd best corner on this team. True, he has to work on getting his hips around faster, but after Asante, who would you rather see at corner?

Jackson would be seeing more playing time if he was showing improvement and ability during practice each week. Obviously he hasn't....That doesn't mean he will remain a bust. Perhaps with the whole offseason program ahead of him, he will develop.

The could make it easier with some play action. That's all I am suggesting. And, I am not sure that it is the "best" in the NFL...NEM

Looking for the stat, and of course I cant find it now that I need it. But as a percent of scores in the red zone and percent of TD's to total scores (something like 67%), the Pats hold the lead. Damn! I wish I could find it.

If Hobbs is the 2nd best corner on this team, then we are in very bad trouble. He gets beaten constantly, first on quick inside routes, and then on the mid range and deeper passes with double moves, as one poaster already attested to. He is too small and too late to react, that is why he gets so many interference calls.... He gets there, but not in time to reach around the receiver for the ball, consequently, he interferes just before the ball makes contact. He is our weakest link on the corner.

Chad Scott did not have a great game last week, but overall I would rather see him on the corner than Hobs, and relegate hobbs to nickel, or dime, back...

I prefer Hobbs. I see their roles reversed as compared to you, but thats a difference of opinion (hmmm...doesn't a certain head coach agree with my assessment?) However, I have long held that the corners need to get bigger and faster to withstand the rigors of playing these new style WR's around the league. I would love to see an upgrade at corner this offseason, and then, yes, we could use Hobbs as a nickel back.
