Patriots 3 MVP's

Ty Warren
Vince Wilfork
Richard Seymour

Best D-Line in football hands down

Def Minnesota's is over rated and San diego thrives on there LB. Merriman and Phillips are there bread and butter.

I would say poss the next closest might be Dallas.

DE - Castillo
NT - Williams
DE - Olshansky

...

I'd take the Pats' any time.

I'd say they're carrying the defense in a way. The linebackers are solid and disciplined, but they aren't as athletic as they used to be IMO.

Come the 4th quarter, if we keep it close, the Oline starts to collapse and then we get most of our sacks from the LBs.

If anyone has stats or watches film each week, you might dispute me, but my impression is our pass rushers come up short early and feast late thanks to the DL.

I agree, this is our strong point, and as much as I like the LB's they need an infusion of youth. Thought Seymour had a very good game on Sunday, however he did not show up in the box score as doing anything. Another example of how this D operates, and how the stats do not tell the whole story. I thought he got at least 1/2 sack.

That is the sense you get. And on that Dline Warren seems to be the key cog in their wheel as they scuffled most when he was out.

Looking at the bigger picture, couldn't agree more. Although as we move on into the playoffs we may find that Junior was definitely deserving of honorable mention, if not that last slot. All of Asante's wonderful picks have come against QB's who might have been expected to throw them, including 5 against Culpepper and Grossman alone in two games - not that we didn't need him to. Law used to pick off Manning.

I guess it's good that he flies under the radar, but if one of those MVPs is not Troy Brown I don't think that you've been watching the same games as me.

Has Troy made a lot of catches? No. Has he made the catches that were needed just when they were needed? Absolutely. Has he dropped one this season? If so, I can't remember. Oh, and he's returned punts and played defensive back ...
