Lol, Nevada town bans foreign flags

Quote:

PHOENIX, Arizona (Reuters) -- A Nevada town passed a law this week making it illegal to fly a foreign nation's flag by itself, the latest swipe by a U.S. community at illegal immigrants.

The town council of Pahrump, which lies in the Mojave Desert west of Las Vegas, voted 3-2 Tuesday to make flying any foreign flag above the U.S. flag or alone an offense punishable by a $50 fine and 30 hours of community service.
Whatever you think about immigration and protecting American culture, this is blatantly unconstitutional. In America, you're allowed to fly the swastica, you're allowed to fly the stars and stripes upside down to protest, but no foreign flags? Though I guess they don't plan a legal challenge since the law is so preposterous that it's unlikely police would enforce it.

I'm kidding of course. I think their intentions are noble, but the law is kinda silly.
