Curran on Pats Colts

As Always Curran is a great read.

Quote:

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- Jibes sailed between Patriots QB Tom Brady and Colts K (and former Patriot) Adam Vinatieri on Wednesday.

"He looks so ugly in that uniform."

"Tell Tom to quit looking at me."

Ohhh, baby … it is ON!

The preamble to the midseason Super Bowl began today as the Colts and Patriots turned their full attention to each other. The two teams, which always have each other in the back of their minds, enter Sunday Night Football in familiar positions -- among the NFL's upper crust.

The Colts come off Sunday's gripping 34-31 win over Denver with a 7-0 record. The 6-1 Patriots, whose only loss came at the hands of the Broncos, deconstructed one of the NFC's better teams, the Vikings on Monday.

The league's two premier quarterbacks -- Brady and the Colts Peyton Manning -- are coming off brilliant performances and the subplot of the week is the return of Vinatieri to New England.
BTW there is another Curran article linked there on other moments in this series.
