Only 2 TEs active? Will we go pass-heavy?

Dang, I was hoping to get to see Mills today.

Vrabel with the TD!!
Seriously, I guess Mills is just developing a little more slowly than we ideally would have liked. Although -- what other healthy scratch would you replace him with? A WR? (Gaffney is active! Yay! But surely he's limited in what he can do, knowledge-wise.) Surely not any other offensive position. And I'm not sure who I'd bounce on defense or STs either, given how banged up the DBs are. |
Re: Pats Inactives: Graham, Hochstein, Kaczur, Hill, Spann, Mills, Woods, Smith
Three are out because of injuries: Hochstein, Kaczur, Graham
---------------------------- The rest are arguably the bottom on the roster. While there are tweaks from week to week, these five should be expected to be inactive each week. If the injured were healthy, we would add Yates, Britt and Gaffney to the inactive list. We have a solid 45. I would note that Iwoume and Andrews are key Special Team players and should be on the Active Roster each week. --------------- It is not a matter of not emphasizing the running game. We have all four runners active, all our healthy TE's (except the rookie poroject) and all our healthy lineman. Gaffney is more ready (if needed) than Mills. He replace Graham as a passing game option. |

No Graham hurts the running game against a good defense like the Bills big time.

Interesting to me:
Gaffney Active. Yates Active. Andrews Active. Looks like we might see some new blood. Hopefully not just yet in Yates, but I think Andrews on PR/KR and Gaffney hopefully helping stretch the field would definitely be nice. |
