Here's the "Branch is Worth More Than a #1 Pick" Argument
John Abraham was traded for a #1 pick last offseason. Who's more valuable, Abraham or Branch ? I say about the same, Abraham is a little older and more injury prone but plays a more valuable position than Branch.
So that makes Branch's value at a low #1 next year IMO (if we Franchised him as Abraham was). However Seattle would get the player now. They were in the SB last year, what is the value of getting him for this year as opposed to after this year ? Maybe not a second #1 but something additional.
