American Soldiers: Was Iraq Worth Your Time And Effort?

From Iraqi Bloggers Central...an interesting article with the intent of letting soldiers voice
some opinion. It has many different opinions...I just post it because it is an intersting read
not to prove right or wrong the validity of the war...We just don't get enough of this
from the mainstream media who choose to cherrypick the ones with the answers they seek.

Also, it has the links where they blog. I read alot of these to get the real news
concerning the war...the soldiers are the best source of info...too bad the media
doesn't use their real opinions more often. Honest posts lead to honest opinions IMO.

To answer your question:

In the end, do you feel that Iraq was worth your time and effort? And could you tell us why?

I do think Iraq was worth my time, for a lot of reasons. To put it simply, any way I can take part in the fight of my generatiuon, this global conflict against terrorists which is currently most predominant in thge Middle East, I am happy to help.

Iraq when I left was a different country than when I arrived. The Iraqi Army had made substantial improvements... both in numbers and performance.

Well I talked to a marine officer yesterday, no camera's around, and he didn't have to worry about anyone else hearing him. We were in the middle of a quiet golf coarse.

He just got back form Iraq a few months ago and want to go back. He thought it was worth it.

I think the opinions will be mixed..no question...but I think the answer has to come from the people in the US..what they think.

Did you ask him if the Iraqi people pose a threat to the security of the United States, which is the only legitimate reason for our troops to invade a foreign nation? Did you ask him if he voted Republican?

I wonder what his answers would have been, dont you?
