Ku Klux Klan wins approval to protest Iraq war

The National Park Service granted a request by the Ku Klux Klan to rally and protest near the spot where a failed offensive by the Confederacy turned the tide of the Battle of Gettysburg.

Gordon Young of the World Knights of the Ku Klux Klan obtained the permit Wednesday for about 100 people to participate in a Sept. 2 event on the lawn of the Cyclorama Center at Gettysburg National Military Park, near the site of Pickett's Charge. The purpose, according to the permit, will be to oppose the Iraq war and speak on "white unity between the North and South."
I guess Bobby Byrd prevailed on some of his friends to join Murtha and the boys against the WOT. I guess the Anti War left has gotten through to another group.:p

That being the case, there are a dozen or so more countries we can attack for the same reason, but Bush doesnt have a personal vendetta against those leaders, so we wont attack.

You are hgopelessly brainwashed into believing all that *****.... the truth is OUr young men and women have been killed for Bush's personal agenda. and people like you with small minds fall for it, and because of it, YOU, and those like you are accomplices tothe killing of Americans in Iraq... You will have to live with this the rest of your life...and, I, for one, will never let you forget it, and all the others like you who are responsible for the death of all of these Americans. We will never let you forget, for the rest of your lives, how your blindness tothe truth killed so many Americans.

Actually I take Zawahiri and OBL at their word, they have said that it is essential to defeat demoracy and the US in Iraq.

NEM, I don't know why you are wasting time responding to Pafsfan13's foolishness.

The dude is desperatelyl searching for justifications for George Bush sending 2,520 American boys to theri deaths. He belongs to the nuthouse with Rick Santorum.

What has the Iraq war accomplished in the WOT so far?

1. Lybia has declared and destroyed their WMD's and nuke program. They have denounced terrorism. That would not have happened if we didn't go into Iraq and they saw that we were serious about it.

2. We have removed a regime that sponsored, funded, and trained terrorist. I did not say Al Quida because there has been no absolute proof that Saddam was DIRECTLY involved with Al Quida. But, Al Quida is just one terrorist organization that has evil intentions toward us.

There were terrorist training camps in Iraq ( Salman Pak for one). Once a terrorist is trained, no one knows where he will go aftert he training.

3. We are in the process of setting up a democracy in Iraq. That will be one less regime tha will fund, sponsor and train terrorist in the Mid-East.

We have also killed a great many terrorist both Iraqi and non Iraqi.

4. As just reported, we have found over 500 shells containing mustard and sarin gas. Although these shells are degraded and can't be used for their intended purposes (artillery rounds with chemical warheads), if they fell into the hands of terrorist who were trained in chemical warfare, the substances could be used as terrorist weapons in other ways.

These are certainly not harmless.

So, in my view and for the reasons stated, this war has been worth it so far.

NEM is now on the same side as the KKK and jew-haters like Cindy Sheehan, this is priceless and well deserved.

ELOrocks17 07-04-2006 10:36 AM

So what you are saying is that we should have waited until Saddam had nukes pointing at us before you considered him a threat eh? By then it would have too late to do anything.

Face facts, you have been used , with the end result being dead Americans who will have died for nothing. Live with it.

I'm not so sure about that NEM. Both seem to be baiting him into war while most of his advisors and the Pentagon are trying to put him on Prozac.

I think Savage is a moron a la Al Franken.

My inspiration was Byrd using the N word during an interview (in the 90's IIRC) and then getting a pass from the party and the media. If a conservative had said that OTOH...
