You don't need a link to know that the Liberal Democrats are fighting every move this administration makes towards "winning the war".

Getting Bush is more important to them than preventing another 9/11, it will hurt them badly come November.

HATE, it is destroying them.

Do you actually believe what you type??? Funny how many Americans were killed during Bush's watch and he basically got a pass..if it were Clinton, you would be out first with a noose wishing to hang him. He either was so incompetent and unknowing that he failed to grasp the importnace of the intelligence he was getting or he basically sacrificed them in a grasp for power. Either way he royally messed up.

I couldn't stand Clinton, he is an Immoral Degenerate of a man but I supported him all the way when he was conducting "His War".

I couldn't stand Jimmy Sissy Carter, I supported him also when he was trying to free the hostages I knew he would f-ck it up but I supported him.

They were my Presidents (I'm from the old school) if the New Democrats regain power and control the country for a long period of time America as we know it will fall apart, our enemy's know this, they will attack us when they can and they will wait, they know the Liberal Democrat will Cave In.

Hard core far leftists are like the Sith. Their hatred is so overpowering they cant stop it and it is destroying them from within.

What's funny to me is that you guys do appear to believe this sort of thing.

Liberals want America to act like America, not like Al Qaeda Junior. That's your real beef with them.

And frankly, when I read the commentary and responses here (as elsewhere), the hate all seems to be flowing from the right wing zealots. Harry's recent slur against "those Jewish lawyers in the ACLU" is just the most recent ugly showing of this. Coulter is against the first amendment, and advocates murder of her perceived enemies.

When it comes to solutions, well-thought out strategies or the use of diplomacy rather than force immediately trigger a cry of "wimp! wimp!" from the right wing.

This recent notion that the left is reacting to "hate" is a really interesting phenomenon, if a ridiculous one.

It's like "putting aside for a moment everything the administration does wrong, why would the Liberals want to ever differ with the administration? Oh I know, it's a personal vendetta!!!" Okay, guys, moment over. Now think about everything the administration does wrong, and you'll understand why the majority of Americans voted against Bush in the first place -- his numbers just get worse as he puts his rhetoric into action.

This does not bode well for November, gentlemen. But it is good that Republicans are sputtering these accusations of "hate" so frequently. I think this time 'round, they've become so transparent that they've pretty much strung themselves up.

Metaphorically speaking, of course.

OP-ED PIECE I SAW FROM SOME POLITICAL SITE. So, it is biased surely but I felt it served a purpose of opening discussion on the role of the media during this war on terrorism....a fine and difficult balance IMO.

Again..this is a politicaly biased opinion...not mine. :D

Liberal columnist Mort Kondracke echoed the sentiments of many Americans: The New York Times leaked information about a top secret banking operation, which was aimed at stopping terrorist financing and money transfers, because of their hatred for President George W. Bush.

President Bush implored the Times not to run their story, but the editors decided to disregard the presidential request. (One cannot help but wonder: If President Bill Clinton were our Commander-in-Chief today, would the editors at the New York Times comply with his request to kill the story? Most probably.)

Americans following the aftermath of the Times leak knew that part of the news story.
However, what most didn't know was that the co-chairmen of the 9-11 Commission -- Tom Keane and Lee Thompson -- also contacted the New York Times and told them disclosure of the Treasury Department's counterterrorism operation would hurt national security. The editors at the Times couldn't care less and disregarded their plea, as well.

"In the past, I believe the New York Times got too close to the line separating honest journalism and betrayal. Now I think they crossed that line," said a former intelligence officer who now works as an undercover detective for a large city police department.

"I also don't believe someone from the [Treasury Department] leaked the information to the Times. I believe one of the lawmakers -- either in the House or Senate -- who opposes the war on terrorism leaked the information," he added.

As yet, there are no comments emanating from Washingtion, DC regarding a full investigation of the leak. One source says he hopes the Justice Department assigns a special prosecutor to look into the case.
Another more direct article from a legal standpoint.

I remember Kondrake from the McLaughlin Group, and also briefly met him and worked with him (in my very humble capacity) in the late 80s. I wouldn't characterize him as "liberal," but if "everything except a neocon" is synonymous with "liberal," feel free to put it that way.

For the record, however, he's always written from a centrist position.

Interesting characterization.
