Patriots All-Time Draft
Heads up on our latest podcast – the Patriots All-Time Draft. No strangers to controversy, our blog crew selects the best Patriots draft choices of all-time, by round. Sound easy? Think again. New England has had some great draft choices throughout the years and the challenge is to select only one per round. Find out if Richard Seymour, Steve Grogan, Deion Branch, and many others make the cut. Click the link below, then click “listen now” for streaming audio. See if you agree.
http://www.murphysfans.com/audioblog.htm This is a full 7 round draft – with each selection debated live on the air. Give a listen. |
I'd venture a guess as to who the best 6th rounder is.

One can never go wrong with a well placed "Eugene Chung" reference....KUDOS! |
Let's liven up this topic a bit. I recommend listening to the show because of the discussion involved with each pick (it ain't easy folks). BUT, let's hear who everyone would pick in the first round of the Patriots all-time draft. Here is a short list of first round candidates (add your own if you deem them worthy):
*Drew Bledsoe QB - Washington State (1993) *Jim Plunkett QB - Stanford (1971) *Willie McGinest DE - USC (1994) *Raymond Clayborn CB – Texas (1977) *Ty Law CB – Michigan (1995) *Bruce Armstrong OT – Louisville (1989) *Richard Seymour DE – Georgia (2001) *John Hannah G – Alabama (1973) *Mike Haynes CB – Arizona State (1976) Make your case! |
I'd go with Seymore, Willie, or Law......just because everybody knows that Brady will be the 6th round pick so there's no need to go with a QB.

John Hannah.
