Interesting comment from Chad Jackson

from before the draft:

http://www.nfldraftcountdown.com/int...adjackson.html

"Scott Wright: Is there one player at Florida that you see developing into a star, either at the college or pro level?

Chad Jackson: Jeremy Mincey because of his unbelievable motor, work ethic and leadership. He also happens to be represented by my agents. "

Kinda cool - the Pats drafted Jackson, and then perhaps followed his advice (kidding of course) and drafted Mincey on day 2.

There is a bit of truth to what you say, though, in a slightly different direction than you took it.

I believe Mincey was quoted, about a week before the draft, saying that the Patriots staff asked him "How would you feel about being Chad's teammate in New England?". There was definately some premeditated plan that unfolded on draft day. It wasn't just playing the board during the draft.

Here's the full interview, since that link above doesn't work.

He seems rather confident... not necessarily a bad thing, but I hope somebody brings him back down to Earth in camp, maybe Rodney?

If RH is healthy, yeah. If not, then maybe Asante could pop him one. Though, Asante tends to save his best for TE's.

Admiring TO the receiver is one thing. Admiring TO the person/off-field & endzone presence is, hopefully, not what he meant.
