OT: More Matt Damon and the Patriots
I watched the film GREEN ZONE last night and then watched a little special about the filming of the movie. Apparently, they used a bunch of Iraqi Vets charged with finding chemical weapons to be the actors alongside Damon in the movie. The soldiers did a great job--you wouldn't have known they weren't actors. The special showed Damon's interactions with them (he and the director would get advice about tactics while Damon would give directions on acting) and at one point, they cut to a clip of Damon talking about the Patriots with the soldiers. Damon was showing how Samuel went up for the interception and missed it, and he said, "Harrison and Samuel had the chance to end the game but after that, you had the feeling it was more like the old Patriots than this decade's version."
Just think it's funny that this Hollywood star is always talking about the Patriots. |
Re: OT: More Matt Damon and the Patriots
Nice. I think Damon's love of Boston sports is very legit. The guy loves all the teams and is always supporting them. He's not just some pink-hat celeb.

I like Damon as an actor, but "The Green Zone" sucked big time.
It's nice to see him try and maintain a semblance of normal life outside of Hollyweird. |
