I thought they couldn't negotiate with Seymour until August?
Wasn't it the rumour that since Seymour had his contact tweaked last year before the season that he couldn't sign a new deal. I guess that this isn't the case. I'm glad we locked him up and we don't have to see Seymour playing in a contract year and trying to not get hurt. Great news!

I thought that too but it turns out he can't get another raise in a calender year. That simply means his base salary for 2006 couldn't be raised above what it already became with his raise before last season.
