SI: Gillete Stadium #2 toughest place to play
|
The home team's record is certainly imposing.
But i wouldn't have guessed the crowd, etc. provide the second most challenging environment in which to be a visiting team. |
That's a fun read with photos but I don't feel it's a real good attempt at defining the stadium and fans, who are the major factors in making a list like that. All the top stadiums in the list have teams that are recently successfull. But, it's still a good read anyways.

only problem about Gillete is the lakc of noise by the fans, but that was adressed last year
|
Without even looking I'd have to think Denver is at least #3 but should be #1.

Don't get me wrong, I'm a season ticket holder and go to most of the games....but the reason Gillette is a tough place to play is because of what is on the field/sidelines.
Take the Saints team and coaching staff and put them in Gillette, and I don't think SI would be rating the Razor #2. The weather only comes into play, maybe 1-2 times per year (2-3 max). |
The line for the RCA Dome just cracked me up:
