Yep, Gasper has gone the Felger route
Gasper clearly has gone the Felger route. Thomas, Patriots both stand to lose - Christopher Gasper's Blog - Boston sports news - Boston.com basically says Thomas was more right than wrong, and asserts BB wants his players to be "robots."
I won't compare him to Borges, however. Gasper still seems to adhere to basic journalistic ethics, unlike Borges, who plagiarizes and has long been irresponsible, not just about his opinions, but also about his "facts." |
Re: Yep, Gasper has gone the Felger route
I watched the late night sports shows on the local news stations last night and Gaspar seemed to say all the opposite things of what Mike Riess said. If I was to trust an opinion of one over the other it would have to be Riess'

Re: Yep, Gasper has gone the Felger route
Ridiculous article. "Belichick did this, this, this, and this wrong. Oh, and Thomas may have been at fault for being late that one day; although he did call ahead because the weather was so bad so it wasn't really his fault."
Vomit inducing. GFY and get out of town, Gasper. Maybe you can write for the paper of whatever team AD signs with. |
Re: Yep, Gasper has gone the Felger route
The Boston sports media has lost its minds. It's like they were hoping and praying the Pats would have a terrible draft so they could continue to bash them for the next 4 months.
Now that the opposite has happened they're all flipping out and just blatantly making stuff up. They're so angry. Bert Breer spent all day Friday shredding them for picking Mccourty. Then they have a great day on Friday and the ONLY artilce he wrote was about how the JETS have gotten "decidedly younger at important positions"!! It's getting really bad. I still like Mike Reiss, he hasn't gone crazy...yet. |
Re: Yep, Gasper has gone the Felger route
They cant write an article in any way praising the Patriots for any good moves lest they be labeled homers, once your labeled a homer your career is done, you'll never get any respect again in the journalistic world, they would rather get caught having sex with a Goat in fenway park when the Yankess are in town than get labeled a "Homer".

Re: Yep, Gasper has gone the Felger route
Gasper is a FRAUD! He fits right in with the rest of the frauds at the Globe. If I behaved at my job the way AD behaved at his, I would have been FIRED. The Globe is a joke. So Sad. There are no decent sports newspapers in this town. They are all trash. No wonder Mike left that rag.

Unless someone knows facts not presented, there's nothing wrong with that article, and it's certainly not going "the Felger route", IMO.

Here it is if you didn't see it.. Brady-Manning debate? The torch has been passed - The Boston Globe Then he had to basically print a retraction.. These e-mailers are happy to write about a wrong - The Boston Globe And now Shalise Manza young seems to have gone to the dark side. She's been negative and snarky too. It's almost as though when you start working there you get brainwashed! Hey, they are owned by a New York paper. Hmmmm... |
Re: Yep, Gasper has gone the Felger route
I get a kick out of some people on this board that get so angry at this stuff when journalists don't praise the Pats or when they say bad things about them. Here's an idea, don't read it. I don't mind this stuff because I take everything I read with a grain of salt and don't get offended unlike most people on this board. At the end of the day, the only thing that matters is whether they win or lose. I don't watch press conferences and interviews because 99.9% of the time players/coaches/owners will say everything you want to hear. So get over it.
