Nascar
Was I seeing things, or did I just see Harry Connick Jr. sing the National Anthem while wearing a Saints hat. Is the man stupid or just downright disrespectful?

Re: Nascar
C) He's from New Orleans.
D) They're in Daytona, not Indianapolis. E) Connick is a cool cat, he can do whatever he wants as far as I'm concerned. |
Re: Nascar
Last time I loked, Florida and Indy were in the US and it's disrespectful to wear a hat during the Anthem.

I've given up on trying to change people's attitudes. You would think, however, that Americans would have a little more respect towards the flag that represents their nation and freedom. |
Re: Nascar
Who cares? Most NASCAR fans are too drunk or stupid (or both) to know the difference anyway.

You respect the ideals that the flag represents by how you apply those ideals in your daily life, period. An a-hole with a Terrorist Hunting Permit on his car is still an a-hole. |

But if that's the case, and I'm allowed to wear a cover during the anthem (when I should know better than anyone), whereas someone else is "stupid" and "disrespectful" for doing the same thing, well, that kind of illustrates how dumb the whole thing is. |
