White House announces televised health meet

 ... he is becoming a comic book character now.

This is the man who preached of being open ... this is embarrassing.

If Barry truly wants to be a good Preesident he can start by getting rid of Rahmbo and Axelrod.

“I want to come back [after the Presidents Day congressional recess] and have a large meeting — Republicans and Democrats — to go through, systematically, all the best ideas that are out there and move it forward,” Obama said in an interview with Katie Couric during CBS’s Super Bowl pre-game show Sunday.

Obama said he wants to “look at the Republican ideas that are out there.”

What's wrong with this? Obama has promised more transparency, the Republicans challenged him to have televised meetings when he met with them, and now he's doing so. My opinion is that the Dems should simply use Reconciliation to muscle a bill through, but for those who favor bipartisanship and transparency, Obama is doing the right thing.

If they're going to show the middle finger to the American people then the House should just pass the Senate bill. No reconciliation necessary. Using reconciliation would be a lot more tricky as it's only for budgetary items and could get hung up in court if they try to expand it's use.

As for this particular meeting, we'll have to see what the actual setup is before determining if it's good or bad. Evidently the White House is saying this doesn't mean they're starting over with makes it pretty much a non starter for me.

What he's doing and why he's doing it are separate issues.

The time for openess was before ... especially before Scott Brown won.

Had he been open as advertised Coakley would have won that one ... the country knows this.

So he was slapped upside the head and now he acts like a changed man ... who will buy into it?

In a way it's a good thing because it just might backfire on him, there's a lot of anger out there about "Sneaky Obamacare" and all the Pelosi Closed Door Meetings, the Republicans might make Obama look like an a$s hole at this one.
Obama still can't get it through his thick arrogant head that the American people don't want his "unknown sneaky ***** health care" the people want Health Care Repaired and they want to know exactly what is in it before it becomes law, THEY DO NOT WANT OBAMA SHOVING AN UNREAD BACK DOOR BILL UP THEIR A$S.
