Did anyone see Avatar?

I saw it and thought it was a wonderful movie. It was two hours and fifty minutes long but I could barely tell it flowed so well. The story was well conceived and the technology was brilliant. There is tons of political stuff to chew on too, racism, exploitation, environment, religion and more.

Did anyone else see it?

Edit: if you haven't seen it in 3-D than you haven't seen it in my opinion

Wasn't it also about humans who go to another planet and disguise themselves as aliens?

For anyone that follows bible prophecy, all these so-called "UFO sightings" we see are likely these fallen angelic demons described in the bible(in particular Rev 12 and Genesis 6-the Nephilim), and have gone on to disguise themselves as human beings(i.e. alot of our elite people who have alot of say on our national policies like the Rothchilds and Bushes are said to be just that).

The "tons of political stuff" must all be fawning and gushing over the left wing and demonizing the right wing (coming from hollywood) but I haven't seen it yet so I could be wrong, but I doubt it..........

You’re in the ball park but it's not so much a disguise as it is a way to interact with the indigenous humanoids, the Na-Vi….but early on you find out that the humans just want a valuable mineral found on the planet and will do what ever is necessary to get after peaceful methods fail.

Seriously everyone should watch it

Thought it was a fabulously entertaining film, extremely well done, did not squirm at all during the movie, there will be some who attempt to look for some type of political message, personally entertainment is entertainment...

Almost saw it in 3D Imax, but was too cheap instead opted for the senior citizen matinee.. my wife loved it as well, she compared it to Dances with Wolves on another planet.

I saw it 20 years ago, only back then they called it "Dances With Wolves."

EDIT: I made this post prior to reading Darryl's post #7 where he says his wife made the same comparison, so please don't interpret my post as trying to plagiarize or anything like that.

You don't have to "attempt" to look for a political message when the political message is smacking you in the face pretty much from the moment you sit down until the moment they run the credits. I mean, they may have just called it oil instead of the ridiculously named "unobtainium."

Saw it in IMAX 3D...

pretty awesome in my opinion...there were a few times I felt as if I was in the movie.

all movies will be this dope in a few years, the push for 3d televisions to support 3d video games and movies started with this flick.

BUT....the plot isnt so much "Dance with Wolves" as its "Pocahontas"
