Check out Michael Huff's timing He will certainly go early now.

Looks like a great year for db's. Though, I don't think Cromartie
has played enough to interest us and Hill is too small. I love some
of the other guys. I hope the new CBA goes thru so that we can
keep some of our offensive free agents and draft some defensive
talent. With Lawson gone before 21. Trade down with Houston.
They have two high #3's. Get their 2nd and 3rd rounder. Richard
Marshall and his 4.42 have to interest us. Bullocks kid from Nebraska
might look good at S at top of 3rd round.

Safety?

On the roster: Harrison, Wilson, Scott, Sanders, Ventrone

FAs to re-sign: Stone, Hawkins

CBs: Poole, Samuel, Gay, Hobbs, Spann, Childress

FAs to re-sign: Scott, Brown, Poteat

When I look at that list I think drafting one or two CBs might be okay, then maybe a coverage LB for Rodney to convert, such as Ellison (Oregon State - former S), Iwuh (Colorado - former S), or Alston (Stanford - 4.4 40) - all 220-ish like Rodney. That makes more sense then trying to grab another FS.

How can Hill be too small for the Pats???? Hobbs, Poole, Samuel are all well under six foot. Size is not a huge factor for BB at CB. Quickness, intelligence and toughness are much more important to him.
Heck you don't even need fluid hips to play DB for BB. Read the reports on Hobbs and Sanders coming out of college last year. Both were deemed to have tight hips, but BB made it work.
My beef with Hill is what I said a couple of months ago, I doubt his playing speed or quickness. My grandmother could catch an out route in front of him. He's usually backpedaling before the offense breaks the huddle. Other than that, which may be a technique problem and certainly fixable, I'd take him in the first round.
