Edelman: first rookie in 14 years to...
score two receiving touchdowns in one postseason game. [The last was TE David Sloan for the Lions(!) after the 1995 season.]
It's a shame that Edelman is going to look back on this game and remember that the Pats got blown out, :( but he certainly played with heart today. |

That 4th down play alone tells me the guy is hungry and he will be a force for years.:D

I think the Patriots will be fine with Elelman until Welker gets back, the real problem is the team needs a major upgrade of Aiken bad.

Re: Edelman: first rookie in 14 years to . . .
It's hard to believe a team with this much experience and outstanding management could allow such a steep drop off of WR talent after Moss and Welker. Of course losing Tate hurt, I think he could have developed nicely this year. And certainly excited about watching Edelman's growth, he is going to be a great weapon on this offense in the future.

This rookie will fill in nicely while Welker recovers. Our (hope to be new) coordinator can do something with both Welker and Edelman in a lineup.
Also everyone seems like Tate was the missing key, but he hardly got a chance to prove it. |

Congrats to Edelman. Our backup slot receiver has done well. We will likely need him to continue in a major role in 2010. Personally, I expect Welker to start the season on the PUP list.
============= Let's have a look at our 53 man roster WR Moss, Edelman, Aiken, Stanback Now let's understand that we need to bring in THREE free agent wide receivers to compete for a couple of roster spots. |
