If I were the VEEP and this news was coming out, I too would probably want to divert media attention from it- immediately. I just wouldn't expect him to "accidentally" shoot a guy. These guys are good.

Just heard Bill Maher say that Dick Cheney shooting this person was the third worst thing that happened to him this week. How outrageous is that. You shoot a fellow hunter and put him in the hospital in critical condition, and it rates only as the third worst occurance in your week. Any bets this guy doesn't make it to the end of his term.

My point is just that. He is now apparently the #1 target of the Fitzgerald investigation. Libby is rolling over and Plame was determined to be covert. That means HIGH CRIMES. And what a coincidence! You have a story that has taken all media attention away from these facts. The morons in the media are pressing Scott McClellan on the ridiculous details of the shooting.
I would prefer to hear about the emerging Plame scandal. If it was Cheney, not Rove, who authorized the outing of a covert agent- he could go down as the biggest criminal to ever hold the office. And all the legs have been kicked out of the rights defense of it. She was covert. She was active. She was a NOC.

Sure looks as if G HW Bushs law has been violated. I can't believe people still fail to see the seriousness of this crime. We are talking about ruining a career of a civil servant who could very well have been working on nuclear proliferation issues in and out of Iran- the country we are on the fast track to attacking. We are talking about jeopardizing NATIONAL SECURITY.

How convenient to remove any potential obstacle to that stated goal (PNAC) by ruining her career and potentially getting her killed in the process. Joe Wilson was 100% right. These guys are shameless, ruthless, and nothing will stand in the way of their disgusting, imperialistic, military-industrial endeavors.

Wilkerson was right when he talked of a neo-con cabal...and Cheney, Wolfowitz, Libby, Perle, Feith, and Rummy are it. Rove and the chimp are merely manipulative political chaff to keep the redneck base satisfied while they pull off these coups.
