The Indianapolis Chickens
Bill "the Coupmaster" PoliOn is a certifiable chickensh&@. :D
They were terrified of the pressure 16 - 0 would have brought and threw today's game. Crap like today only makes the 2007 Patriots, with their 18 - 0 record before their last minute loss in the SB stand even taller in the eyes of history. Man do I want the Patriots playing the Chickens after their bye. Want them BAD!!! Betcha the Patriots do too. |
Re: The Indianapolis Chickens
it was nice to see them lose. they have an "organizational philosophy" that they have talked about for a few weeks now that include resting the starters. what they dont realize is that Peyton has played 150+ games without being injured so what is the chances that he gets injured in 6 quarters between half time today and the end of the perfect season?

Re: The Indianapolis Chickens
Read stuff on the colts forums, the teams mojo might be seriously destroyed. One and done seems possible.

Re: The Indianapolis Chickens
I don't think we should diss any team that has accomplished as much as they have -- except, of course, for their gimmicks with the rules and so on. ;)

Re: The Indianapolis Chickens
I'm dying for a Chicken/Patriot rematch.
Chickens, say hello to Fred Taylor and Sammy Morris. |

Re: The Indianapolis Chickens
Well, we all know it's a major burr in Peyton's saddle that Tommy Boy has an undefeated season and he doesn't And boy, didn't Peyton looked pissed about throwing away the 16-0! I don't blame the guy on this one. I'm no Manning fan but the guy's busted his ass to be among the best and to come back and win some improbable victories this year. To see all that effort thrown out the window for some theoretical playoff advantage should burn the hide of any serious competitor. Plus, I have a feeling this laying down will haunt the Colts later. You infect a winning team with losing at your risk Mr. Caldwell...

Re: The Indianapolis Chickens
Boy, that loss really hurt the feelings of Colt players. Especially, Manning for whom records are very important. But I am glad they decided to tank the game. Keeps the Pat's record intact. That's all I care about (at this point in the season, that is). Thank You Bill Polian. I fully understand that your team want the pressure of an undefeated season weighing on your team. Only time will tell whether you made the right decision.

Re: The Indianapolis Chickens
I am ecstatic the Colts lost.
However in the grand scheme of things, I think the Colts did the smart thing to take out PIT and BALT from a possible divisional round matchup. Indy only needs to beat a bad offensive team like Cincy, Denver, or the Jets to make it to the AFCCG. They conveniently avoid us. Talk about a cakewalk right there. |
