"Chris Henry -- a wide receiver on the Cincinnati Bengals -- has been seriously injured in a car accident in North Carolina earlier today.

Cops tell TMZ, Henry is suffering from "life threatening injuries."

Police believe Henry was involved in a "domestic situation" with his girlfriend. Cops say the girlfriend tried to leave her home in a pick-up truck -- when Chris ran after the truck and hopped into the bed.

Cops say , "At some point while [Henry's girlfriend] was driving, Mr. Henry came out of the back of the vehicle."

According to KYPost.com, Henry is believed to have suffered "severe head injuries."

Story developing... "

Man sucks for him and the Bungles. They just can't catch a break. Hope he makes a full recovery. Hate to see anyone get injured like that.:(

It doesn't make sense to bring up his past and in the same sentence say this is no time to bring up his past. But you can roll your eyes at me all you want, I'm not the one that opened with a hypocritical statement. But to each his own
