Why the hate for Randy Moss?

I can understand Adalius ..... he is out the door and as far as im concerned should be cut.

but to question Randy's motivation, usefulness, and contributions? The guy has played hurt for a good part of the season (his left shoulder is messed up...anyone who watches him after a catch or tackle can tell by his body language) and He still has pretty good results even though he is fighting double coverage most of the game. I have not seen anything to make me think he is not the RM of 2007. Brady was overthrowing him in the beginning of the season and with no Wes it made it easier on opposing defenses to cover him.

I personally think Randy's critics don't have a leg to stand on right now. He is doing as well as one could hope.

Again this is just my opinion.

I dont know where you get the whole shoulder injury theroy because its never appeared on the injury report. I know he did have a back problem in the beginning of the season especially in the Atlanta game.

I think some of his play that people have questioned can do with his age. Lets face it hes aging, he doesnt have the explosiveness off the ball that he used to have and I think his jumping ability has been affected.

I dont think his play should be questioned, he leads the league in receiving yards, and is 2nd in receptions. The only thing that can be questioned is his ability to perform in the clutch. He hasnt played that great in Patriot losses besides the Colts games. He hasnt made that clutch catch, such as the Thursday night game vs the Jets last year. This is what he is lacking this year.

Just because he was late for one meeting, some posters are quick to make the inference between that and his past. It isn't as if he is a repeat offender.

When the team goes bad, people like to look for a scapegoat and Moss seems to be a convenient one. Never mind the fact that he has over 1000 yards receiving and 9 TDs. The guy has been a model citizen since he came here. Even with getting sent home the other day, he did not mouth off in the press. This guy is on the tail end of his career and still contributing. Let's cut him some slack.

He doesn't make "clutch" catches because he's getting double and triple teamed in those situations. No opposing defense wants us to get Randy Moss the ball in a close game.

I think it's more sadness than "hate".

We're all coming to realize that we saw the best of Moss, one of the most brilliant receivers in history, and that age has finally caught up with him. I suspect Moss also is coming to realize this, which is starting to take its toll on him mentally.

All good things have to come to an end.

He was also still in his 20's. Guy doesn't have the same explosiveness that he used to, nobody is denying that. He's still one of the best receivers in the game.

And that catch in the Jets game was unreal. Asking anyone to do something like that twice is a bit too much, IMO.

Yes, I said the same exact thing, see my post above

Got me. :confused2: He's going to have to do a lot more...or actually, a lot less, if we're speaking strictly performance-wise, to get me off the RM love train. On and off-field, the whole team is going through some stuff right now, and from the outside looking in, we can really only speculate what the problems are. Time should tell if he's part of the problem or part of the solution. Until then, I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt because he's earned at least that much since he's been here.
