Offense can't get it done when it counts

At the end of the day last night, all we had to do was get a first down to win the game, just like in blown AFC Championship game. And in regardless of our ability to move the ball all night, we weren't able to squeak out 10 yards on 4th down. It was similar to the Broncos game where we moved the ball on offense well but let Denver hang in there and in the end we couldn't make the plays on offense to win the game. Sure alot else happened last night to include Horrible coaching at the end and the Red Zone Turn Overs, but just as concerning to me is that I haven't seen this offense get it done when they needed to . And the Colts defense is decimated with injuries and we couldn't get those 4 yards. It's easy to look at the points and yards, but when the game was in the balance it appeared it effected our Offense. I mean the series with the FG. Why just take your foot off the pedal there. We were clearly playing with no urgency , settling for a FG, when that wass teh best tiem to put this game out of reach with a TD!

Compared to the SB teams this years version certainly seem not to have much killer instinct when facing good teams on either side of the ball. Not sure why that is but hopefully it changes soon.

If Bill really wanted to win this game, they should've tried getting a touchdown after Manning threw his 2nd interception instead of relaxing and being contented with field goal for a 13 point lead.

How many times do they need to "get it done"? There were numerous big plays they made in the second half. There were long drives, big third down conversions, clock eating. This one's on the defense. They scored 35 points and put together another drive that ate about half a quarter before fumbling at the one. Patriots offense was exceptional last night. The defense stopped playing in the fourth quarter.

The defense didnt stop playing, they went away from the game plan. Prevent never works, they needed to stay aggressive and stick to the game plan they used for the first 3 quarters. In the first 3 quarters they clogged up the middle of the field, and in the 4th they backed way off allowing for the 15 yard passes. I was still pleased with the defenses play, just wish the coaches didnt imply the prevent D.

The offense got it done to the tune of 34 points against the leagues top scoring defense, and really they got it done by converting a 4th down that was called short. We blew this game on defense and by not having a timeout to challenge that spot.

You are so right. I started screaming about soft coverage in the first half when they let Indy waltz down field before half. This coaching staff is letting that D down. They played great when they had to last night. 7 Punts.... 4 three and outs.... When they had their corners up, they were tough.

What he said. Anytime you put up 34 points and lose, it's not the offenses fault.
