GOP Health care bill...

Here is a link to the GOP's offering as a health care reform bill.
There is a summary and an actual text to click on for a pdf.
Certainly there is allot to like and not to like.
What are your opinions of the key differences?

Well at least they are posting stuff, bout time. I understand that Pelosi isn't going to post the hundred of pages of amendments dems are adding to their bill.

It's a good start and we really need to see if some of this stuff will lower costs before jumping in and junking the whole system.

I only read the front page, I didn't read the whole thing so I don't know what else is there but I would add some kind of government help for poor working people to pool in for low cost health insurance that covers them for catastrophic and more common problems but leaves out some of the extras that few of us really need to be covered for.

At the end of the day we need to make health care cheaper and more affordable, until then it's just more taxes and playing a shell game with money.

So it covers fewer people and saves less money than the Democratic bill. Got it.

How does it save less? Your right it does cover fewer people. But I think it goes further with savings in both overall cost, or taxes, and by starting to move on tort reform.

It saves money without raising taxes. The concept of the Democrat bill SAVING money is lunacy - even if the costs are what they say, it's a massive tax increase. You don't save money by raising taxes.

It saves money in that it reduces the deficit much moreso than the Republican bill, while at the same time covering more people, which, you know, is one of the chief aims of HCR.

Which specific tax increases are you referring to?

The dem bill saves no money it just cuts payments to doctors & hospitals and transfers cost to people with private insurance and funds health care for lawbreakers (illegal aliens) & abortions.

Seriously: Do you just make things up as you go along?

Really, a serious question.
