Pat Robertson: How much longer?
 

How much longer does this guy get the media attention he doesn't deserve. His latest rant: Robertson suggests God smote Sharon. It was devine retribution for dividing God's land. Sure am glad I have a different God then this guy.

I don't get your point. The guy is a kingmaker in the Republican Party. Along with Dobson and the rest of the right-wing evangelical crazies.

It's no wonder that Robertson and Islamic radicals agree on how "wonderful" it was that Sharon had a stroke...they are all a bunch of religious nuts, no matter what denomination...

Robertson will continue his morning show on ABC, and the powers to be will not denounce what he said and will not move away from him. He is right up there with Dobson and "God Hates Fags" folk. Check out their website, they are going over the edge right now with Thank God for 12 dead miners and 5 more dead soldiers, these folks know how to push the 1st amendment to is limits. It is a wonder that no one has reigned undivine retribution upon them, must be a pain in a.. to local police who have to protect them.

Two things;

1. Conservatives, unlike liberals do NOT unconditionally apologize and make excuses for the radical or fundamental elements in their "side" From my perspective, Robertson is out of line and out of touch with reality. I would prefer he and the outspoken religious right shut the hell up.

2. Robertson is NOT an anti-semite. In fact, he is quite the supporter of Jews and Israel. He was very upset from what I've heard about Israel giving land back to the Palestinians. He is a friend of Zionism from my understanding.


But then again, anything the left can grab and say "See I told you so, look what the right is up to again"

2. You're absolutely right, Robertson is upset that anybody would concede anything to the Palestinians. It's not so much that Robertson is pro-Israel, it's that he's anti-Muslim.
