OT: Fisher’s attempt at humor could backfire

Fisher's attempt at humor could backfire - NFL - Yahoo! Sports

one of the best articles ive read in a while....this guy is pretty good

it talks a bit about the pats, mentions them really

but the highlight was fisher, and ray lewis

ive said it b4, lewis is done with....apparently this guy can see it too, and sees the specifics of why...

Reasonable article. I've absolutely zero issue with what Fisher did. The world has become too precious. Sooks.

I don't think it was ever an issue of hurting grown men's feelings.

What Fisher did was downright disloyal. Even if he had retired for 5 years and pulled this stunt I'd be livid. I was really surprised to see him don a Manning jersey during the season. Charity event or not, this is inexcusable.

I'm so glad we have BB - all the media criticism about being "boring" is truly appreciated when other coaches are causing these disruptions.

i dont think i really care what fisher wore....

but then again, i guess if BB donned like a plummer jersey after the postseason loss, i would be upset, although i would defenetely know that BB was messing round

then again, the pats havnt had any one team recently completely destory them over and over again within the division, so no jersey can have the same impact on us that a manning jersey can have on titans fans

Remember when TB wore a Yankees hat in NY???? There was a whole lotta p*ssed off sox fans. That wasnt anywhere near as bad as what Fisher just did. The talk radio shows down here were taking calls all day from ticked off Titan fans. The Colts are the enemy, and he shows up with that jersey on, and then makes the remark that he made. wow. Jersey might be one thing, but what he said was flat out wrong. Many of the fans down here were already screaming for his head (which i disagreed with), and now this? If BB ever said that, i'd throw my kool-aid at him.

Imagine how the season ticket holders feel? All that money wasted on a 0-6 team, and the head coach puts on a rivals jersey, and says he wanted to feel like a winner????? wtf??

I didn't mind the jersey stunt, but that "I wanted to feel like a winner" comment was a little uncalled for. Way to kick your team while they're down. Still, I think that's more a matter of crappy coaching than "OMG he's a terrible disloyal jerk we gotta fire him!" He should be fired after this season anyways, so it could very well be a moot point.

You're joking right? It's a jersey and he made a joke for a good cause.

**** me the world is precious.

Keith Bullock and numerous others agree with me, my friend.

This is not a funny joke - it's wrong

Please provide me with a detailed analysis on how this makes the world a worse place to live in.

After a 59-0 stomping, either he deserves to get fired or the team needs to be insulted... let the owner decide.

From my end, the last game was a sign that the Pats are a sure lock to win the SB.
