DOJ to Probe Wiretap Leaks
http://news.yahoo.com/s/afp/20051230...ksintelligence
This is great news. I'm sure all of those (faux) incensed by the Valerie Plame 'leak' (anyone fingered for that yet other than their kid? I thought not) will be screaming for justice here. The NYT for example as well as several far left sock puppets who post here incessantly. [crickets] |
It's certainly not the issue I want them to work on. You seem to favor a secretive, oppressive government, Pissah. The investigation is to clamp down on those brave enough to report abuses by the government. It may also stifle dissent in other areas, such as those concerned about abuse of military contracts or about torture of Iraqi and other prisoners. What you favor is a tactic more common in oppressive regimes.

No, you libs screamed for months that leaks needed to be investigated. They were. Be careful of what you wish for.
So, you're for a security apparatus that cannot keep secrets in wartime? Face it, the CIA and State Dept has been a culture of Ivy League liberals for over a generation. They willingly sabotage the adminstration in wartime. |

I always thought it was our responsibility as US citizens to "whistleblow" if we knew of anything that was done illegal in our workplace. Do not blame the Ivy League Liberals yet, the last time there was a ton of blame and it came down to someone in Cheney's office. |
Liberals now believe it is the citizens responsibilty to "Whistleblow" on Government Officials if they shoud do something wrong while on duty.
Remember "LINDA TRIPP" the Liberals CRUCIFIED AND DESTROYED this women because she BLEW (pardon the pun) the whistle on "Billy Blue Dress", what hypocrites. Now don't start with the "It was only sex sh it" he was having sex in his office while he was supposed to be working, YOU TRY THAT ON YOUR JOB, when he got caught he lied to a grand jury YOU TRY THAT your President treated you like a fool, and he treated his family like dirt with his constant lying. But the "Neo Libs" love him. In Clintons little war he Bombed a Hospital, he Bombed the Chinese Embassy, he Bombed an Aspirin Factory, he and his Weird Attorney General Janet Reno burned men women and children to death in Waco, the Muslims Bombed the WTC in NYC, Clinton didn't even bother to visit the site, he was accused of Rape, he had womens cat killed trying to shut her up (Kathleen Wiley) and God only knows what happened to Vince Foster. Imagine the reaction from Al Franken if Bush did all this sh it. :singing: |
1) Chickens coming home to roost at the NY Times, which crusaded loudly for a special prosecutor in Plamegate. Be careful what you whine for.
2) How long before we start hearing the BDS folks at the Times, the DNC et. al. whining that this probe is a waste of time and a distraction from the important business of Congress and is politically motivated? 3) Look for the Plame enthusiasts to argue that the NSA leaks were "good" leaks, justified in the name of safeguarding civil liberties and the national interest, and should therefore be exempt from criminal prosecution. Fact is, the law does not grant an exception based on leakers' motives. 4) Remind me again specifiicly who was indicted for 'revealing Plame as a CIA agent'? Oh, never mind. |
The topic is the many security leaks from the CIA in wartime. The Justice Dept is chartered to investigate just such incidents. Let them do their job and find out which parties in the CIA have leaked info on alleged foreign prisons and the wiretap program. There is a pattern of ongoing disclosures here.
We already hired an independant special prosecutor to find out who leaked Plame's status and if a crime was committed. No indictments for those charges but a top administration assistant was indicted for obstructing justice. |
