Great Win, but Let's Not Blow it Out of Proportion
Yesterday was a historically great win, in terms of margin of victory, points scored, total offense, etc.
However, let's not get too carried away: -Tennessee was missing its two starting corners and playing college-level rookies there. The team was 0-5 coming in. Their secondary was worse than our 2005 secondary, when any bum QB could come in and throw 400 yards on us. -Brady is getting more comfortable, but the 2007 Brady will probably never be back. Manning's most TD's since his 49TD season, is 31. -Maroney had that nice breakaway run, but he never had issues running behind HUGE holes. His issues have always been when there isn't a ginormous hole opened up for him. -Great that Chung got his first int, but that was against Vince Young, who is probably as good/bad as JaMarcus Russell right now. Just trying to keep things on an even keel here and avoid the rollercoaster. The losses aren't as bad as everyone thinks, the wins aren't as monumental either. |

I agree, it's just one win and one step closer to our goal. We've got 9 more games to hold this lead over MIA/NYJ and also try to inch closer to Indy/Den. Right now the focus is beating Tampa.
It's also another loss for TEN (0-6) and that pick we get from them is looking like a top 40 overall pick. |

I thought the snow was the biggest factor that contributed to and accentuated our huge win. Without it, I felt that the margin wouldn't be so great.

The problem with brady has been hitting open players with the deep throw, so in that aspect today was very encouraging.

I agree with everything you said. BUT...
I disagree that Maroney's long run was a huge hole. The endzone camera had the best look at it. That run was a direct result of Maroney being patient with his blocking and he squeezed through there at the right time. That was a great patient run by Maroney. |

With that said, I would take this as a happy sign he is improving but not that he is back to 2007 form. His problem has been overthrowing receivers badly, and there is no way he could do that in those winds yesterday. I would be surprised if the problem is there one week and gone the next. |

Maroney has arrived folks. He was mad at Patriot Nation for booing at him too. |

Isn't this what he always does though? Doesn't see anything so hesitates/waits, and if a ginormous hole doesn't open up he gets negative yards a fourth of the time. It just so happened that on that occasion, a fifteen foot hole opened up for him. Nobody is disputing that he's fast as hell. |
