Ted Johnson on NFL Network's Playbook tonight
8:30 pm Eastern Time - breaking down Pats' D film and looking at the AFC Playoff picture.
Sorry Pats1 :( |
WOW! That sucked...he totally threw the team under the bus. Likes the Colts over the Pats says the Pats just can not get it done and picked Cinny to win the SB.
That is bullcrap! |

Maybe he's giving them bulletin board material to fire em up!! Or maybe as an ex-pat he didn't want to seem like a homer and pick them. But he knows damn well in his heart that this team has a good chance |

I think either Ted really believes all that, or he's overcompensating so as not to seem like a homer. Or, he knows he's not going to be part of another SB run so he doesn't want them to win it because of that. |

TJ doesn't think the Pats secondary will hold up under the pressure if they play Indy again. He reported they were able to see Indy quiting after the first 2-3 series last year and questions the Colts' mental toughness until they prove it in the playoffs. He likes Cincy's chances to win the SB and talked about their O-line beating people up. He felt the Pats' success the past three weeks was from playing three "vanilla" QBs who weren't up to using the full playbooks. Wilfork in the middle and the LBs disguising the pass rush came in for kudos.
Valid if painful thoughts, which suggests BB is going to need to play the starters to give those young players all the experience they can handle. |
Wow ... just wow.
TJ: " .. I'll tell you what, when it comes to the Colts, they have a balanced attack, for the first time, they're running the ball ... and their defense is stellar .. so I really don't think .... I think this is a different team, uh .. and I'm not sure the Patriots can get it done ... " Q: .. so if they meet in the playoffs, you don't think the Patriots can beat them ?" TJ: "You know honestly .. my honest opinion is ... that they can't. I really don't think .. I think our secondary is still too young .. theres not I lot of cont- .. you know these guys in a pressure situation .... I'll never forget, a coach telling me one time in the playoffs, 'Don't be the guy to send us home' ... I mean, that's a lot of pressure ... and these young guys ... we have two rookies back there ... and Asante, he's struggling a little bit ... and on that turf .... I tell you what that's going to be a tough task" -R |
Glad I missed it. Not saying they're not valid points, but I don't really want to hear them right before Christmas.
