When i read this i thought what has happened to this country?, can it get any lower? an online poll whether the POTUS should be killed.

Someone started this digusting poll on facebook, imo its the result of the Hate speech propigated by the Rt wing hate mongers. I want my country back, i remember a country that had no place for this kind of obcene behavior.

CNN) -- The social networking site Facebook on Monday pulled a third-party application that allows users to create polls after a site member built a poll asking if President Obama should be killed.


There are more than 350,000 applications on Facebook. The company says it disables any that violate its terms.

The U.S. Secret Service, the agency assigned to protect the president, has launched an investigation, agency spokesman James Mackin said.

"As is usually the case, our vigilant users reported it to us first," Facebook spokesman Barry Schnitt told CNN. "The USSS [Secret Service] sent us an e-mail late this morning PDT asking us to take it down. At that point, it had already been removed, and we let them know."

Saw that, seems more and more advocacy for some type of violent overthrow of Government... that would really lead to health care reform...

It'll be fairly entertaining to watch people try to justify assisanation, won't it? Especially the good Christian ones who are supposed to believe in all of The Commandments - the 6th one included.

Last I heard they had not ammended that one to include, "except for presidents."

Glad the Secret Service is investigating. Could the poll be a lefty baiting? We have heard a lot from the left since the election about the PResident being assassinated due to his race.


I would note that over the weekend there was more violence from the left at the G20 meeting than at al the townhall's this summer and the 9-12 march. The violence at the townhall meetings was perpetrated by Obama supporters

I imagien that the people at face book have the records of those who voted YES I'm sure the Secret Service will be interested.

So i guess using this logic this means that its OK to run this to have a poll on killing the POTUS. You used the same logic to support the attack on Obamas daughter for wearing a t-shirt with a "peace sign" on it. Since Letterman said something about Palins daughter it was OK to go after Obamas

People who have religion should follow the guidelines of that religion regardless of the political climate.

Whatever God they believe in gives no special dispensation for killing politicians.

While I agree they should not be allowed to let their religious beliefs interfer with the manner in which a country's run I do believe that they, themselves, on the basis of calling themselves members of any given religious organization, are obligated to their religion, their God and themselves, to follow the tenents of said religion.
