Back to the Future: Week 4

Before we get too excited about this Week 3 win, let's not forget that Week 4 starts now. And just as quickly as we wanted to put the Jets debacle behind us, Sunday very well could be deja vu. Instead of Sanchez, there's Flacco. Instead of Jones and Washington, there's Rice and McGahee. But otherwise, we're talking about two fairly similar teams here. And oh yeah: Ed Reed.

At least this one's at home.

I'm still not quite sold on that Baltimore defense. I wasn't really impressed with it when I watch Kansas City and San Diego play them. Rivers TORCHED it. If this offense blends the run and pass like it did today to take some of that pressure off Brady, and if Brady progresses even more, we shouldn't have a problem taking the Ravens. Two dead birds, two weeks in a row.

just watch the chargers ravens game, you should be able to pass on baltimore's secondary all day long , plus you've got a better running game, and probably a better defense

i'll be picking NE this coming week (even though the ravens O is looking pretty legit)

This is a preview of the AFCCG. Unfortunately, I think that game will be in Baltimore.

Also all the out-of-staters will also start the season 4 for 4 in terms of national games....bar savings way way down this year.

Keep telling yourself this. 14 of the KC points were from freaky plays...otherwise it was a 38-10 game, with still a dominating performance by their D. The SD game showed some weakness in the secondary, but Phillip Rivers had to play out of his mind just to "almost win" in their house. That was not a small accomplishment to fly clear across the country and come out with a gutsy win.

They are now a very balanced, powerful, and dangerous team both sides of the ball.

But as it always is, Any Given Sunday...we shall see.

Rivers torched them but still lost (actually their D lost the game for them, being depleted). However, I think BB will still be picking some things up from that game. One thing I think he will key on is in man coverage, their corners are easily exposed.

Question is, do we go no-huddle like we did in '07 to prevent them from going dime and quarter?

Only problem with that now is their base D is the most effective, not their nickel and extra DB packages (3.6 YPPA vs. 4.3 YPPA)

Ironically they are also playing a bit of vanilla D, going consistent with four men rush.

Are we saying hello to our first Ravens fan? The Falcons fans were nice. Hope you birdies are alike. :D

i think this is the game we see the brady to moss deep ball

the ravens will blitz just as much if not more then the jets did but the ravens dont have a Darrelle Revis type corner

and if this D let the falcons put up only 10 points

im not worried about the ravens O

Don't count on it with Ed Reed likely to be patrolling that area. Belichick has a man crush on Reed and respects the hell out of him. I'm sure he'll be building the offensive gameplan away from Reed... not directly to him.
