NEW ORLEANS — Bullet-makers are working around the clock, seven days a week, and still can’t keep up with the nation’s demand for ammunition.

Shooting ranges, gun dealers and bullet manufacturers say they have never seen such shortages. Bullets, especially for handguns, have been scarce for months because gun enthusiasts are stocking up on ammo, in part because they fear President Barack Obama and the Democratic-controlled Congress will pass antigun legislation — even though nothing specific has been proposed and the president last month signed a law allowing people to carry loaded guns in national parks.

Gun sales spiked when it became clear Obama would be elected a year ago and purchases continued to rise in his first few months of office. ...

They can pass all the laws they want to but the American people will never give up their right to protect themselves and their families.

The Gang Bangers have them, the Drug Dealers have them, the assorted scumbags have them and there is nothing that Stupid Obama or those other Democrat a$s holes can do to take them away from them therefore if the Swine & Savages can run around with them they sure as ***** won't get my gun.

Have read where the gun lobby and manufacturers are fueling this hysteria, and they have done a good job with it... in fact there was a poster here who was a gun merchant, in Maine I believe, and he validated that information.

They (and more broadly, the Right) have learned the REAL lesson of 9/11.

Fear is a psychological weapon that can be used immorally to make people do irrational things.

What is clearly staed in that article link that Fogbuster provided is that this is happening despite all factual and emprical evidence........just like the death panel hysteria.......the commie hysteria, etc.

The Right has learned that terrorism really isn't centered on violence, but on fear.

This could be good for the economy. Obama needs to not threaten to take away newly constructed houses, American cars...

If he doesn't threaten enough industries we could end up with an economy growing at 20%
