Misplaced Fears about Presidential Advisors, AKA czars..
Interesting piece from David Rifkin, who served under Reagan and Lee Casey, who served under George... argue that the prez has a right to appoint advisors with no congressional ovesight..
This op ed provides some balance and sanity to this argument.. washingtonpost.com Quote:

It is just precious when Liberals use GW Bush, OF ALL PEOPLE, to defend what Mr. Change is doing.
Besides, the point about the czars isn't the number of them but many of them are total pyscho freaks. |

No matter how many times you repeat that Harry, it won't change the fact that Bush was allowed to govern up till his brilliant plan to attack Iraq, while Clinton was given a few months and Obama hadn't even unpacked before your pals were in full obstruct mode. |
Re: Misplaced Fears about Presidential Advisors, AKA czars..
Why would anyone like the fact that a president of any party, can appoint tens of czars to positions, to escape the scrutiny of congress? I think this is a situation where people would understand a couple appointments in certain situations. However, we've reached a point where there's a czar for everything. I'm not fan of how far it's gone.
