“Look at [Vince] Wilfork,” he said, spotlighting the New England nose tackle. “He’s playing like {expletive].”

On this particular play, Wilfork hadn’t gotten leverage after the snap, ending up stonewalled by former Dolphins center Samson Satele(notes). One of the coaches theorized that had Wilfork pushed the center back even half a yard, it would have disrupted left guard Justin Smiley(notes). Instead, the coaches watched in disgust as Smiley swooped down the line unobstructed, whisking through a battleship-sized hole and leveling New England safety Brandon Meriweather(notes). Just like that, Smiley had transformed a likely five-yard gain into a 62-yard touchdown by Ronnie Brown.

when its a 62 yerd run i dont see how its all on wilfork

the pats did have 10 more guy's like a DB or a LB that could have stoped him like 30 yerd's lol

but that was browns 4th TD the game was all redy lost 2 TD ago

Anecdotally, I've always thought that Wilfork was more than a little overrated, but I don't have any stats or film breakdowns to back it up, so I could def. be way off.

they conveintly left out BB"s second look at the Wildcat,AT Miami,when we crushed them.

Agreed. There are 10 other players on the field. The author seemed to pin wilfork and assume everyone else was doing a good job.

Really you don't know if he's overrated until you take him out of the game and see what changes. As far as run stopping goes nothing up the middle gets passed him which is really all he's asked to do.
