Cool thing about Hoyer

I'm watching the NFLN re-run of Thursday night's Pats-Giants game. Late in the fourth quarter Hoyer completes a 48-yarder to Aiken and just as he releases the ball, he's knocked over by a Giant lineman. The hit spins Hoyer around so he lands on his belly facing the opposite direction of the throw. As he hits the turf he's already looking up at the video screen to see the end of the play. This kid's focus is pretty intense.

I think it's amazing when an athlete in any sport is more suited to be a pro than they were a NCAA player. Hoyer looks to be well suited to the NFL - how he went undrafted is anyone's guess.

It's got to be the coaching. I think the Patriots saw how smart and driven this kid is and figured they could iron out the kinks in his game.

Yep, I noticed that too in the nfl.com highlights of the game.

Seems like a kind of move he might be chewed out for if he wasn't hit so hard...but then again we may be seeing him seeing something in the defense that he could use against them :D
